Starting this fall, the Integrated Renewal Program – Student (IRP Student) will begin rolling out Workday Student, a renewed, reliable, and secure student information system to support UBC’s academic mission.
Workday Student will replace UBC’s current student information system, connecting UBC’s HR, Finance, and Student systems in a single, configurable, and easy-to-use application.
Launch timeline
The system will launch in two phases:
- Launch 1, on October 4, 2023, focuses on the systems that admit students to UBC and preparation for the 2024 Winter session.
- In the Faculty of Medicine, this launch will only impact staff who support programs with admissions and scheduling. Learn more about who is impacted by Launch 1.
- Launch 2, coming in early 2024, will include capabilities that support students to study, advance and graduate from UBC.
- This launch will impact all UBC student information system users, including staff, faculty, and current students. More information, including training resources and community events, will be shared closer to the launch date.
