Vancouver – Point Grey

How long have you worked at the UBC Faculty of Medicine?

Since February 26, 2019, but I have worked at UBC since September 2011 (7+ years).

Tell us what you do at the Faculty in one or two sentences:

I’m part of the Special Projects Management Team that helps the Faculty of Medicine achieve its strategic goals by 2021.

What’s your favourite thing about your work?

I enjoy working collaboratively to complete projects and I especially enjoy the variety of work that comes from a project-based work environment.

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you?

I am an avid cyclist and I try to get out for a bicycle ride whenever I have spare time.

What is the song you sang out loud as a teenager?

Anything by Death Cab for Cutie

What makes you laugh?

I generally laugh at clever observational comedy (Mitch Hedberg, Demetri Martin, John Mulaney) and really bad dad jokes.

One thing on your desk you brought from home?

I have a narwhal action figure that protects my docking station.

Most healthy habit:

Riding my bicycle.

What is your favourite vacation spot and why?

I really enjoy visiting Tofino/Ucluelet.  Coming from California, it reminds me of the quiet surf culture of the Northern California coast.
