How long have you worked at the UBC Faculty of Medicine?

25 years

Tell us what you do at the Faculty in one or two sentences:

I am involved in conducting research projects that require the performance of laboratory experiments with the aim of developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of prostate cancer. 

What is your favorite thing about your work?

I enjoy working collaboratively with researchers from different parts of the world and contributing to advance their research.

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you?

I used to knit all of my sweaters when I was younger.

What is the song you sang aloud as a teenager?

I have many Italian songs that I used to sing including Volare by Domenico Modugno. My favorite foreign song was Imagine by John Lennon. 

What makes you laugh?

My cat when she snuggles in my armpit.

One thing on your desk you brought from home? 

Licorice tea.

Most healthy habit: 

Drink a lot of water and do yoga when I can.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Italy where I was born. I go back every year and I am always taken aback by the architectural and natural beauty of the country and liveliness of the people.
