How long have you worked at the Faculty of Medicine?

Over 2 years.

Tell us what you do at the Faculty in one or two sentences:

Room booking! Receiving room booking requests, and processing them within 2 business days. I work with an amazing, hardworking team that handles dozens of requests/changes daily. We are quite busy!

What’s your favourite thing about your work?

Working for the Faculty of Medicine makes me feel a great sense of pride, knowing that, even though I didn’t pursue my own dream of being a doctor, I am somehow contributing to the making of future doctors. Also, the people. Everyone is so welcoming and kind—probably the most important aspect of a workplace.

One thing we might be surprised to learn about you?

I visited Vancouver for the first time about 3 years ago while on vacation. I loved the mountains and city so much that I dropped everything in Toronto, quit a good job and moved across the country alone.

What is the song you sang out loud as a teenager?

Everything and anything Nirvana.

What makes you laugh?

Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Joey, Monica and sometimes Phoebe.

One thing on your desk you brought from home?

My supersized, green coffee mug--- which gets a lot of attention in the staff kitchen. I drink a lot of tea, people…

Most healthy habit

I recently started time restricted eating which is a form of intermittent fasting. It’s tough, but research proves a lot of health benefits.

What is your favourite vacation spot and why?

Killbear Provincial Park. I’ve been going there since I was in my momma’s belly, and spent entire summers there growing up. It’s a majestic and raw environment on the coast of Georgian Bay.
