How to access wireless services.
We can assist with gaining access to wireless services provided by UBC IT, Health Authority IT Services, and participating Distributed Medical Program (DMP) Universities (UBC, UBC’s Okanagan Campus, University of Northern BC and the University of Victoria).
You can access wireless services across UBC and affiliated
BCNET institutions by using your UBC Campus Wide Login (CWL).
The following wireless networks are available at most UBC and partner institution locations (see below for link to full coverage map):
: A collaborative network that provides roaming access at a wide range of national and international academic and partner institutions
: The primary wireless network for UBC faculty and staff. It provides secure WiFi Protected access, so you don’t have to login each time
: Places users directly into their department’s own network and security domain, granting them access to private or restricted resources (e.g. printers, file shares, etc.)
: Provides light browsing at no charge. No login is required
For information on wireless coverage across UBC campuses, view UBC IT's
Wireless Coverage Map.
