A message from Ravi Sidhu, Vice Dean, Education.
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Keerat Sidhu has been appointed Associate Dean, Fraser, effective to December 31, 2030.
Dr. Sidhu is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine and a general internal medicine physician at Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH). She has been an active contributor to both undergraduate and postgraduate training at UBC, previously serving as the Postgraduate Medical Education Site Lead for SMH and as Clinical Skills Course Director for first-year medical students. Dr. Sidhu also played a key role in the development of the Fraser-based Internal Medicine Residency Program, which she continues to support through multiple committee appointments.

As Associate Dean, Fraser, Dr. Sidhu will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Faculty’s educational activities in the Fraser region, serving as the senior academic representative to ensure strong coordination, communication and alignment with the Faculty’s strategic goals. She will work closely with senior academic leaders and partners to support the delivery of high-quality medical and health professions education. Dr. Sidhu will also foster relationships with key partners, organizations and communities to strengthen collaboration and advance the Faculty’s mission in the region.
Dr. Sidhu’s appointment follows the interim leadership of Dr. Clarissa Wallace. We would like to thank Dr. Wallace for her dedicated service and many contributions, providing strategic guidance to support the delivery of high-quality, inclusive educational experiences for learners and trainees across the Fraser region.
Please join me in congratulating Dr. Keerat Sidhu on her appointment.
