I’m pleased to announce that the Faculty of Medicine’s spring 2022 call for Strategic Investment Fund (SIF) proposals is now open. Dr. Chris Lovato, Vice-Dean Academic, will continue to chair the SIF Advisory Group.
To support the proposal process, we are introducing a new form to facilitate the consultation process with Strategic Plan Pillar Leads. For the spring competition, the deadline to consult with Pillar Leads is April 1 and the deadline to submit full proposals is May 1.
The Faculty of Medicine’s SIF is an opportunity to obtain funding for projects that advance our strategic plan, Building the Future: 2021-2026. Since SIF began in 2017, faculty, staff and learners have leveraged this funding to create new research platforms and lay the groundwork for CFI applications; develop new partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration; create and test new and innovative education methods; and improve the ways we support well-being and community engagement. I encourage you to bring forward your ideas, seize this unique opportunity and submit a proposal that will help advance the commitments, goals and strategies of the Faculty’s strategic plan.
