Please join the Office of Respectful Environments, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) for the next Indigenous Initiatives Speaker Series.

The event will feature Louise Bernice Halfe – Sky Dancer, Parliamentary Poet Laureate, who will talk about the Cree expression Ni tipeyihtenan ōhi acimōwina, meaning, “We own these stories. The marrow.” She will speak about the foundations of Indigenous writing and how her poetry and stories are informed by connections to communities and ancient teachings.

When: Friday, March 25, 2022 from 12:00-1:30 pm

What will I learn? You will learn about the need for creative and meaningful connections with Indigenous peoples.
