International Congress on Academic Medicine

If you are interested in the latest innovations in medical education and health research, the International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM) is the right place for you.

An initiative of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC), ICAM will be a venue to promote innovation and scholarship in medical education and health research on an international scale. With three days dedicated to health research, three days dedicated to medical education and one day focused on international topics, ICAM will be the place to come together and discuss the most pressing questions in academic medicine.

ICAM was designed to enhance professional development for all those involved in academic medicine. ICAM will offer a diverse program with more than 300 orals, poster presentations and workshops as well as seven exciting plenary sessions on Ableism, Humanism and AI, Generalism, and more. International themes include One Health, Health Workforce planning and Planetary Health.

At ICAM, you will encounter numerous opportunities to network with Canadian and international colleagues at several evening receptions, at the Career Fair or between sessions.
