Join the Office of Respectful Environments, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) for “Advancing Inclusive Research in Medicine: Anti-Racist and Decolonial Approaches” on Friday, May 16.
In this It Starts With Us session, the REDI team will be joined by a panel of healthcare researchers for a conversation on how medical and health researchers can foster research practices that are culturally welcoming to communities from historically, systemically and persistently marginalized backgrounds.
The panel, featuring Dr. Ninan Abraham, Dr. Nitasha Puri, Dr. Scott Ramsay and Dr. Michelle Montgomery, will discuss how they are actively integrating anti-racist and decolonial principles into their work, and explore practical strategies for building meaningful research partnerships with marginalized communities and creating inclusive lab or research group environments.
