New BCCSU Research & Dialogue speaker series

The BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) is excited to announce the launch of a new speaker series. The Research & Dialogue speaker series aims to place substance use research in dialogue with lived experience to put the latest evidence into real world context.

The series is open to anyone with an interest in the substance use field, including people with lived and living experience, their friends and family, frontline responders, program and service providers, clinicians, policy makers, researchers and their staff, the media, and the general public.

The first sessions will begin March 29 and feature updates from key research areas of the BCCSU, including longitudinal cohort studies, youth health, and social determinants of health. The next season is scheduled to begin in September 2023.
