Is substance use affecting your wellbeing?

One in five of us will experience a mental illness or problematic substance use at some point in our lifetime (CMHA, 2022). Seeking help for substance use challenges is an important step towards minimizing harm and supporting recovery.

To support UBC faculty and staff struggling with substance use or looking to support a dependent, UBC HR has partnered with ALAViDA to provide confidential access to substance use management resources.

Take the confidential ALAViDA self-assessment, which will provide you with personalized insights about your substance use, life functioning, and wellbeing. When you complete the self-assessment, you will also receive a self-care gift and an optional session with an ALAViDA coach to help redefine what wellness is for you.

Everything you do with ALAViDA is completely confidential — no information is shared with employers, plan sponsors, unions, or licensing bodies.
