2S/LGBTQ+ Health Hub trainee funding program

Advance your knowledge of 2S/LGBTQ+ health and research and join a network of scholars and practitioners through the 2S/LGBTQ+ Health Hub trainee program.

The 2S/LGBTQ+ Health Hub is a collaboration between over 50 community leaders, scholars, researchers, and healthcare providers from across Canada. Funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the project is building a national platform that will offer training, mentorship, networking, and capacity-building to emerging leaders in 2S/LGBTQ+ health and research.

The 2025/26 trainee program is open to individuals either working in a community or professional setting or completing training in a university environment. The program runs for seven months, from September 1, 2025 through to March 31, 2026.

A total of $10,000 in funding will be provided to each trainee in recognition for participation in all activities and components, with additional funding provided to community and professional fellows to cover required employer contributions on top of $10,000 in salary funding.

Further program and application details are available on the 2S/LGBTQ+ Health Hub website. Submit an application by Saturday, May 31, 2025.
