Global Affairs Canada has launched a new call for proposals under the Indo-Pacific Scholarships and Fellowships for Canadians program, supporting researchers and graduate students funding to study or undertake research in the Indo-Pacific Region.
Each Canadian institution is eligible to submit one proposal, with UBC’s submission coordinated by the UBC Office of Global Engagement.
Study or research must be in line with Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, including topics such as regional diplomacy, national and regional security, trade and economic cooperation, technological innovation, sustainable development, climate change, natural resources management and applied scientific cooperation. Internal collaboration among UBC faculties and departments is encouraged.
Interested applicants should email global.partnerships@ubc.ca to receive the internal Letter of Intent (LOI) form, and return the completed LOI by 12 pm on Monday, July 14, 2025.
Please contact the Office of Global Engagement at global.partnerships@ubc.ca with any questions.
