Faculty members in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) fields, submit a seed2STEM project proposal to host a student from an Indigenous background in your lab this summer.

Led by ICORD, seed2STEM is an award-winning summer research program for Indigenous high school students in Metro Vancouver and Kelowna. The program aims to remove barriers to STEM careers for Indigenous high school students by offering six-week paid summer research internships on a variety of topics in a fun and supportive environment.

The 2026 program from Monday July 6 to Friday August 14, and supervisors are offered Indigenous awareness and cultural safety training and are invited to the celebration lunch and poster session in August.

Submit a project proposal by Friday, March 20.  Interested supervisors can also join a virtual information session on Friday, February 27 at 12 pm.
