UBCV Zero Waste Market is now open

Are you looking for gently used furniture for your home or office?

The UBC Furniture Reuse program accepts donations of gently-used, surplus furniture from faculty and departments, and resells to the UBC community and broader public to help divert waste from disposal.

By reimagining furniture waste as a reusable and valuable resource, the Furniture Reuse Program has kept over 1900 furniture items (60 garbage trucks) from disposal, avoided 95 (tonne CO2e) of carbon emissions, and saved over $950,000 in cost-avoidance.

To donate: Contact furniture.reuse@ubc.ca and a program representative will be in touch to arrange inventory and furniture viewings and/or pick up option.

To purchase: Visit the Zero Waste Market on campus at UBC Vancouver, open every Wednesday from 12–2 pm at Ponderosa Annex E, Room 127. The store’s schedule and opening hours are subject to change, please check the website prior to visiting.
