Dr. Al Boggie passed away on December 28, 2022.
Dr. Boggie was a member of the first graduating MD class in the UBC Faculty of Medicine in 1954, a founding member in the Department of Family Practice, and served as Associate Dean, Admissions in the Faculty of Medicine 1980–1988.
After graduating and working as a general practitioner, Dr. Boggie joined the Department of Family Practice, establishing the family practice residency at Vancouver General Hospital.
Dr. Boggie is fondly remembered by the UBC Faculty of Medicine for his lifelong support.
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags were lowered on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in remembrance.
