Dr. Jiri Frohlich passed away on October 12, 2023.
A Professor Emeritus in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Dr. Frohlich was a leading clinician and researcher in heart disease.
His work was recognized with numerous awards, including the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation outstanding contribution award, the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists Research Excellence award. Dr. Frohlich was awarded the Order of British Columbia in 2017.
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags were lowered on Friday, November 03, 2023 in remembrance.
