Dr. Naveena Singh passed away on October 5, 2023.
An anatomical pathologist specializing in gynecological cancer research, Dr. Singh was a current Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Vancouver General Hospital.
Prior to moving to Canada, she served as president of the British Association of Gynecological Pathologists. Amongst her research accomplishments, criteria she developed for the assessment of specific aggressive ovarian cancers were adopted by the International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting, College of American Pathologists, Royal College of Pathologists and were featured by the World Health Organization.
The BC, Musqueam and UBC flags were lowered on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in remembrance.
