Dr. Steven Kent passed away on May 22, 2025.
A dedicated medical educator and a pioneer in pediatric pulmonology and cystic fibrosis, Dr. Kent was a current Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and a practicing pediatrician with Island Health.
Dr. Kent was involved in the launch of B.C.’s newborn cystic fibrosis (CF) screening program, and was instrumental in establishing Vancouver Island’s first CF clinic at Victoria General Hospital.
