Dr. Theresa van der Goes passed away on May 19, 2025.
A leader in medical education and assessment, Dr. van der Goes was a current Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Practice, where she also served in a number of education leadership roles including Residency Assessment Director for the Family Medicine Postgraduate Program.
For her outstanding accomplishments and innovation in learner assessment and evaluation, she was invited to join a number of College of Family Physicians of Canada initiatives, presented internationally with the Association for Medical Education in Europe and the International Conference on Residency Education, and was awarded a Canadian Association for Medical Education Certificate of Merit.
