Requirements, deadlines and procedures for the MSHRBC Research Trainee Award.
The MSHRBC Research Trainee Program is designed to attract, recognize, and support outstanding early career researchers who have recently completed a PhD, or are a health professional eligible for a fellowship (or equivalent) program by providing funding that helps protect time for health research activities.
MSHRBC has launched the new 2024 Research Trainee Award competition. ApplyNet is now accepting applications.

Procedure
For the 2024 MSHRBC Research Trainee Award opportunity, the Faculty of Medicine (FoM) has agreed with the Office of Research Services (ORS) on the following procedures/timelines:
- Your application package must be submitted via email to the Faculty signature contact for your site by Monday, February 19, 2024. Note that Evelina Tolstykh (fom.grantapprovals@ubc.ca) is the contact for Faculty approval for those located at the UBC Point Grey campus. See below for a complete list of the required items.
- After Faculty approval, your documents will be sent to ORS.
- Your application must be submitted via ApplyNet no later than 4:30pm on Friday, February 23, 2024.
- ORS will electronically approve your application via ApplyNet for submission to MSFHR.
Please remember that you can continue working on your research proposal up until you submit on ApplyNet on February 23rd, even after you have submitted your application package for Faculty approval.

- Completed Research Project Information Form, including signatures of your supervisor, his/her Department Head/School Director, and Centre Director (if you are using research space at a Centre).
- MSHRBC Full application: Pages 1-2 including organization affiliation up to requested award duration
