Text Patterns

Introduction Paragraph style
This is the Introduction Paragraph Pattern. Use this at the top of a page. Do not change the font size. The separator below is required when used.
Any paragraph can have this font size applied from the block settings in the ‘styles’ menu.
Sidebar Block
This is a block of text that has padding, a heading and content. It is intended to use inside of a column. The pattern serves to separate content that is related to an article but does not fit in as body text. There are three styles.
Styles are applied on the group containing the block.
List and Links Patterns
View:
Quicklinks
Quicklinks have three patterns. They are identical but have different numbers of columns. Quicklink lists should only contain links with link text. No images or other text.
Components Patterns
Individual design components which can be combined or used independently to create content.

Additional Information
If you have issues with the use of these patterns I apologize.
Video Block
Use this pattern to add video from a hosted option. If using Panopto for video you will need to publish a podcast link for it to work. The caption below the video is optional.
Page Layouts Patterns
These are starting points for creating common pages.
View:
One Column Page Layout
A minimal starting point. Provides a space for introductory text and then an open ended content section.
Introduction text. Avoid adding links here. Only use basic text formatting of Bold and Italic. Do not add images or other non-text content.
Any form or combination of page content will work in the space below. The page has a maximum width set of 1200 pixels. Please adjust all assets to load withing that size or to open in a modal or new tab.
Two Column Page Layout
Similar to the one column page layout but with the inclusion of a second column. Use this pattern when creating multi-column pages. This will keep content columns consistent across the site.
Main column has a maximum width of 785 pixels.
If a page is set to full width (no side nav) the max width is 1175px.
Section heading
Section introduction text. This is a suggestion on how to structure a page.
Heading inside of a section.
Content about the section. Note that in this example the sidebar has a lot of content but the main content area does not. Avoid this by balancing your content across columns. On narrow devices the sidebar will stack below this column.
Pathway Page Layout
This pattern provides navigation for subpages. Do not use this as a content page it is intended to be a navigation tool. The column count per row must be 3. Do not add or remove columns. You can add or remove rows as needed. Do not add images into the grid. That is reserved for the Overview Page Pattern.
Headings in this pattern must be links. Keep headings short.
Limit descriptions to one paragraph.

Interactive Patterns Patterns

Accordions Block
Content can be nested inside of accordions. The pattern adds a ‘expand all’ and ‘collapse all’ function to the accordion block. The pattern relies on the accordions plugin being activated on the site.
Accordions can be link to directly by setting the ‘anchor’ in the advanced section of the block setting. That will create a unique url to the accordion. E.g. Accordion 1, Accordion 2

CSS uility classes
CSS classes that can help add design characteristics.
View:
is-style-fill-container
.is-style-fill-container
Intended to be added to feature images in query loop post templates.
Makes an image 100% wide and 100% tall. Fills the space and keeps the images aspect ratio.
Use this on Feature images to make them fill the space. Otherwise the image will render inside of a 16:9 container. Empty space is filled with a background image.
table-text-wrap
Class:
.table-text-wrap
For use on tables.
Sets the white-space
property to it’s initial value. This lets text wrap inside of a table cell instead of expanding the table’s width.
natural-images
Class:
.natural-images
For use on images or elements that contain images.
Removes height and fit specifications from CSS.
underlined text
Class:
.underlined
When added to text, it adds an underline.
.red-text
Class:
.red-text
For text that needs to be marked as important or required. Changes the text color to red.
.contact-grid
Class:
.contact-grid
Format a group of columns like a table with striped rows. Will expand any column with a ‘mailto’ link to fit.
