The Rural Coordination Centre of BC (RCCbc) is accepting nominations for the 2023 BC Rural Health Awards.

Nomination for rural community

Do you know an amazing rural community that has supported local rural healthcare service delivery? Celebrate them with a nomination for the BC Rural Health Award by February 17, 2023.

The Rural Coordination Centre of BC recognizes a rural community for their contributions towards improving the health of rural British Columbians. The Rural BC Community Award honours a community that has developed innovative and collaborative approaches and/or solutions to local healthcare issues, or supported and enhanced the sustainability of the rural healthcare services and/or providers within their community. A community may nominate itself or be nominated by a third party.

Nomination for rural doctor

Do you know a rural doctor that has excelled in their work and service provided over the span of a career? Celebrate them with a nomination for the BC Rural Health Award by February 17, 2023.

The Rural Coordination Centre of BC recognizes a rural doctor for their contributions towards improving the health of rural British Columbians. The Award of Excellence in Rural Medicine: Lifetime Achievement honours a rural physician who has dedicated their career to serving one or more rural communities and has significantly impacted and/or influenced rural health provincially, nationally and/or internationally. The physician must be nominated by a third party. All nominees must have practiced in one or more rural British Columbia communities for a minimum of 15 years.
