Access to abortion is a human rights issue; being able to obtain one in a timely and safe manner is part of basic reproductive health.
We All Have a Role to Play: Increasing Access to Abortion Care in Canada explores current abortion trends across the country and applies person-centered strategies to overcome barriers that hinder abortion care.
The 90-minute accredited and self-paced course is designed for all health professionals that provide sexual and reproductive care including physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives and registered nurses.
The course launched in March 2024, and is offered by UBC CPD in partnership with the Contraception and Abortion Research Team (CART) and funded by Health Canada.
