Faculty of Medicine (Full Faculty) Meetings

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Based on the University Act, Faculty Meetings are held for the purpose of approving administrative structures, curricular and program changes and candidates for degrees. The approval of candidates for degrees and scholarship awards will be in camera, excluding students. The Faculty of Medicine (Full Faculty) Meetings are normally held in May and November of each year.

Step 2: Voting members obtain 5 digit code using your employee ID/student ID

We provide the ability to vote on motions directly via the webcast.

Follow instructions below to register and how to vote when motions are presented during the event.  (note that your vote will be counted and recorded during the meeting - but will not be reported openly unless there is a dispute on a motion that required a detailed count.)

  • To cast your vote during the live webcast, you must register to vote by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, and obtain your 5 digit code on your screen and sent to your email inbox (or check your junk mail folder).
  • You must be a voting member of the Faculty to vote and receive a 5 digit code.​
  • To register, click on voter registration link found on the information facing the page of the webcast "waiting for broadcast page" or by clicking the (i) icon on the webcast viewer during the live event. 

Step 3: Ask a question/comment

  • This feature will be enabled during the live webcast and allow viewers to submit a comment or question during the meeting.
  • To submit your question, click on the “Ask a Question” icon in the lower right hand corner of the webcast page or the upper left control bar of the classic webcast viewer.
  • Questions will be moderated by Dr. Deborah Money, Executive Vice Dean​. We will strive to address your questions during the meeting but if time does not permit, we will endeavor to post responses on MedNet.

Step 4: Vote

  • Voting members can vote by clicking the voting link on the information page (or click the (i) icon on the webcast page during the live event).
  • To vote on motions during the live meeting, you will be prompted to enter your 5 digit code.
  • When a motion appears on the screen, you will have the option of selecting “In favour” or “Opposed”.
