Discovery to Commercialization
The Discovery to Commercialization (D2C) event series, which was organized in partnership between UBC Faculty of Medicine (FoM) and Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI), hosted conversations that connected people, ideas, and opportunities that advanced life sciences research and innovation. Over the span of two years, the series successfully linked the academic and industry communities and enabled opportunities for faculty and industry partners to foster new relationships within the life sciences community.

D2C Speaker Series
The D2C Speaker Series presented virtual sessions that shared key insights about the commercialization process and entrepreneurial ventures from experienced faculty and industry partners. The sessions aimed to educate and inspire attendees about the local companies in our community.
The team behind establishing and executing the D2C speaker series was awarded the 2021 Faculty of Medicine Dean’s Staff Award for Creativity and Innovation. Read more about this instrumental team’s story in developing the series through VCHRI’s announcement here.
