Faculty of Medicine Events Calendar

The Faculty of Medicine events calendar includes events hosted and supported by the Faculty such as seminars, conferences, workshops and lectures.

How to add events

Events are added via the UBCevents database to either the Faculty of Medicine calendar. Once added, both the Faculty's website and UBCevents will be updated at the same time. 

To become an authorized UBCevents user, contact the Communications Team. A UBC Campus-Wide Login (CWL) is required to submit event information to this database.


UBCevents is UBC's campus-wide event calendar. It includes a comprehensive events database for faculty, staff, students, alumni, the general public, and the media.  Events can be categorized and searched by date or topic.

The UBCevents team works hard to promote events through Spotlights on the UBCevents homepage, on campus digital signage, and throught their Twitter account (@UBCevents). By adding your events to the calendar you can ensure that members of the UBC and external community have an opportunity to discover your unit's great events.

Promote your Event in The Link e-newsletter

The Link e-newsletter is distributed every other Tuesday fo faculty and staff and includes upcoming events.

To submit an event in The Link, email the Communications team.

Promote your Event with the Media

Public Affairs provides several do-it-yourself tools for event promotion.

Going to the Media about your Academic or Professional Conference:  This website reviews information how to promote public attendance at an event and generating media stories about your conference.

Getting Your Event in the News:  The community calendar listings in newspapers and on radio and TV are one of the most effective ways to generate publicity about your event or study and get people to participate. This website reviews information about how to submit your event to these community calendars and tips on ensuring your announcement is listed.
