Faculty of Medicine Contact List

A contact list of Admin units and key contacts in Faculty of Medicine departments, schools, and centres is available on MedNet. To report updates or request changes to the contact list, please email Dean’s Office Reception at​​

Outlook email lists

The UBC Global Address Book includes several Faculty of Medicine distributions lists. The Faculty of Medicine lists begin with the abbreviation “Med ML -” followed by the name of the specific group (e.g. “Med ML - Department and School Heads").  

The UBC Global Address List (GAL) is made available through the Microsoft Exchange email system at UBC and through Microsoft Outlook. 

Only offices/individuals using Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft Outlook can access the GAL. 

Many of the lists available in the UBC GAL require usage permissions for sending to a particular distribution group. Please ensure you/your group understand the usage of a particular list/ group before using one of these lists. 

Note: the Communications team does use or maintain these email lists.

Broadcast email lists

Faculty and Staff

Broadcast emails for faculty, staff, and student employees are sent to the primary email address listed in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS).

To ensure that you receive important broadcast emails, please log into the Faculty and Staff Self-Service portal to check that your email address is accurate and up-to-date.

Note: If you are off-campus, please ensure that you first connect to the UBC myVPN service in order to access the self-service portal. Read instructions for setting up myVPN.

To update your email address, please follow these instructions.


Broadcast emails for Faculty of Medicine students are currently sent to the primary email address listed in the Student Information System (SIS) and Resident Management System.

To change your email address on record, log in to the SSC (Student Service Centre) and update your personal settings.
